About the Technician

Juergen KuschnikJurgen Kuschnik was born, educated and trained as a photographic equipment service expert in Western Germany. His experience includes over 30 years in the professional and collectible camera service industry.

In his early years, Kuschnik completed trade school and was certified as a mechanical precision instrument technician, serving an apprenticeship with international electronic part and component manufacturer, Hartmann & Braun.

Soon after, camera manufacturer RolleiWerke hired and trained him as a service technician, promoting him through the ranks to supervisor and eventually to international branch service manager in their subsidiary, Rollei of America’s Los Angeles, California branch. Because of his excellent English language skills and his factory expertise, Kuschnik was given the responsibility of training technicians in both the U.S. and in Canada. He worked for Rollei for 12 years.
 

For over two decades, Kuschnik has been self-employed as a camera service expert expanding his training and knowledge to include many collectible cameras and several of the finest professional cameras manufactured today. He received recognition for his skills in the book, Collectors Guide to Rollei Cameras.
